My beach collection is marked with the "a" from Artisann, a collection where the turntable is an important instrument. My beach plate is a classic plate with a small edge and radiates imperfection. Each plate is handmade and finished with care. The Beach plate is turned with the turntable in 7 sizes. The shape, clay and glaze are the same as a base, but because everything is handmade and I want to show this clearly, no plate will be the same.

The "Beach" collection is made of burgundy twist clay and is finished with a beautiful floating blue glaze. On the outside of each plate, I deliberately leave a rough clay zone at the bottom in contrast to the glazed inside and top. The color of the floating blue glaze reacts very nicely with the red clay, which is not possible with any other clay.

The beach plate gives authenticity to the decorated table and can be endlessly combined into a breakfast set or complete crockery. The blue finish is certainly inspired by the sea atmosphere.

Creating process

• The plate is turned with the turntable
• Is turned on the bottom with the appropriate instruments on the turntable
• Allow to dry for one week to ensure that the plate is definitely dry
• Is baked in a 950 ° oven which lasts at least one day and a half
• Is glazed by hand and the brush
• Is baked in a 1250 ° glaze oven and lasts two days.

The high tray at the Beach plate is possible because the clay is stoneware clay and can withstand this high temperature. My own glaze recipe is also specially designed for a 1250 °.

This baking and making process determines that the beach plate has a high quality, so that pieces jump off, crack, ... is practically nil.

Also dishwasher safe and very pleasant to maintain.
