My coffee cup "Beach" consists of different sizes, the small is a cozy expreso cup, the medium size will give your coffee moment an extra dimension and the mug with or without ear will give you a cozy tea experience.

The different sizes of coffee and tea cups are handmade with the turntable. As I said, the "Beach" cup is turned in 3 sizes: with the small I use 200gr clay, the medium 280gr clay and the large of tea bag or mug 400gr clay. The shape and glaze are basically the same, but because everything is handmade and I want to show this clearly, no cup will be the same. This is my concept and creativity, the opposite of series work.

The "Beach" collection is made of burgundy clay and is finished with a beautiful floating blue glaze. On the outside of each cup, I consciously leave a rough clay zone in contrast with the glazed inside and top. The color of the floating blue glaze reacts very nicely with the red clay, which is not possible with another clay. I make a conscious choice of the clay in combination with the modified glaze.

My work is labeled with the formed "a" from artisann.

Creating process

• The cup is turned with the turntable
• Is turned on the bottom with the appropriate instruments on the turntable
• Allow to dry for one week to ensure that the bag is definitely dry
• Is baked in a 950 ° oven which lasts at least one day and a half
• Is glazed by hand and the brush
• Is baked in a 1250 ° glaze oven and lasts two days.

The bucket is possible because the clay is stoneware clay and can withstand this high temperature. The glaze recipe is also specially designed for a 1250 ° container.

This baking and making process determines that the beach collection has a high quality that makes pieces jump, crack, ... is virtually nil.

Easy to clean, dishwasher safe and high temperature resistant.
