We created the Barista cup at the request of our barista clients who practice the art of “Latte Art.” This ideal handmade Barista cup, with its perfect shape and curves, is perfect for every barista and coffee lover to pour milk foam onto their coffee and experiment with different designs. The Barista cup ensures that the heat of your coffee is retained as effectively as possible. Additionally, the coffee pours smoothly into your cup thanks to the rounded bottom, keeping the flavors well-balanced. The crema layer also stands out beautifully in combination with my own unique glazes.

The “Sunrise” collection is made of natural white clay and is finished with an magenta glaze on the outside. On the inside, the sunrise glaze flows together beautifully to create a unique effect. On the outside of each mug, I intentionally leave a rough clay area on the bottom to contrast with the glazed inside and top.

The collection by ceramicist and interior designer Ann Van Beersel for Artisann is a collection in which the turntable is an important tool. My collection radiates with imperfection and each mug is different handmade and finished with care.

My work is labeled with the shaped “a” of artisann and is patented.

Ceramics by Ann Van Beersel stands for functionality, beautiful high-quality objects that can be used every day with imperfection as a common thread in my design. The different collections add authenticity to the decorated table and can be endlessly combined into a breakfast set or a complete dinner service.

Making process

• The barista cup is turned with 280gr clay
• The ear is shaped and assembled by hand
• Is turned off at the bottom with the appropriate instruments on the turntable
• Let it dry for one week to make sure the cup is dry
• A biscuit bake in a 950° oven which lasts at least one day and a half
• Is glazed by hand and brush
• Is fired in a glaze kiln at 1250° and lasts two days.

The high bucket is possible because the clay is stoneware clay and can withstand this high temperature. I have also specially designed the glaze recipe for a baking of 1250° and it is unique. This baking and making process determines that the “Sunrise” collection has a high quality, so that pieces jumping, cracking, ... are virtually nil.

Easy to maintain, dishwasher safe and high temperature resistant.
